The Ohio Genealogical Society is the largest state genealogical society in the United States. Our mission is: Protecting and sharing Ohio’s family history resources, developing engaging educational opportunities, and connecting genealogists. 

We’re helping newcomers and experts alike use resources, make connections, and find the records that bring their past alive.

Our goal is to help people take their genealogical research to the next level.

We operate a library and archive that is open to the public.
