St Peters Parish and School

St. Peter’s School, founded in 1868, strives to promote a Christian atmosphere in all phases of its programs. By focusing on respect for one another, we foster an attitude of caring and concern for others regardless of cultural or religious background or special needs.

St. Peter’s Catholic School believes each student is a child of God and graduates students who practice Christian spirituality, achieve academic excellence, and prepare to be of service to the world. The school provides a challenging curriculum which sets high standards for student achievement. Religious instruction and an emphasis on values are a vital part of the curriculum. When a child begins his or her educational experience at St. Peter’s, he or she enters into an “extended family” in which teachers, students, and parents work together for a productive learning environment. Instruction in the early years of the Montessori Preschool/Kindergarten and Kindergarten provides the solid foundation for learning which continues throughout the grades. Extracurricular and enrichment activities are designed to enhance classroom learning and add depth to classroom experiences. As a result of concerted dedication to student achievement, St. Peter’s enjoys a reputation for academic excellence within the Mansfield community.
