Galion City School

Galion City School District proudly serves approximately 2000 students from preschool through graduation. We offer students a broad range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities that focus on college and career readiness.

Our mission is to prepare students with a rigorous education that enables them to be contributing members of our community. Our district has made a strong commitment to expanding student access to learning through 21st Century tools. Specifically, we are implementing a One-to-One Technology Program in grades 3-12. Students in grades 3-8 have access to an iPad and students in grades 9-12 have a laptop computer. Students may use these devices 24 hours day / 7 days a week to access digital content, educational software, personal productivity, and communication tools.

Our Board of Education, administration, teaching staff, and support staff are focused on enhancing student achievement. Through the Race to the Top initiative and the Ohio Improvement Process, we will continue to evaluate our educational program and make data-based decisions to meet student needs. Our goal is to ensure that every student has a positive, successful educational experience.
