Summary
PURPOSE:
Responsible for managing existing, and pursuing new, client relationships and assist the Financial Group Manager and Advisors. Provides administrative duties, quality customer assistance, and ensures the efficient smooth day-to-day operation of the office. The position requires an aspiration to grow within the Advisor role and within the financial advisory industry.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Assist Senior Advisors as a “Client Relationship Manager”, which includes answering client questions about investment issues and updating the Financial Group Manager/Advisors with all issues related to the portfolio.
- Able and willing to develop clientele of their own.
- Perform administrative duties for Financial Group Manager and Advisors by being the point of contact for clients, answering phones, setting appointments/meetings, receiving and directing customers and guests, sorting mail, ordering office supplies, typing correspondence, taking meeting minutes, filing, etc.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work without supervisor. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Prepares/maintains client checklists and reviews. Utilizes financial planning software. - Track information and prepare reports on sales goals and production, product sales volumes, commission reports; prepare monthly referrals reports, etc.
- Maintain various client and prospect lists; Follows up on leads, prepares mailing of newsletters to clients; birthday cards, etc.
- Assist with marketing activities including; seminar mailings, assemble folders, brochures, etc., for monthly seminars and attend when possible; send out follow-up letters; prepare evaluation report and maintain seminar binder. Preparation/compliance approval process of marketing materials for financial services and other bank products as assigned.
- Coordinates with Cetera to ensure compliance issues are properly addressed. Assist in other third-parties in processing customer transactions, researching account information, resolving customers’ problems, preparing address change, etc.
- Maintain an up-to-date supply of mutual fund and insurance annuity brochures and supply of the institution’s other products and services for distribution to customers and other interested parties.
- Maintain compliance to Cetera regulatory requirements and all government regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation E (Electronic Funds), Regulation CC (Funds Availability,) CRA and Regulation DD, or other policies pertaining to your position.
OTHERS:
Assist with other projects and duties as needed.

Experience/Certification Required:
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, administration, accounting, finance or similar field of study. – OR – High School Diplomas/GED Equivalent and requires two years or more in the financial industry. Typing, math, calculator skill, computer skills including data entry, word processing and excel spreadsheets, interpersonal & customer service skills. Marketing and sales skills are a plus.
Candidate must maintain a Series 6 or 7 license or have successfully completed SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) Exam. A portion of the Gross Dealer Concession will be paid as additional commission at the time license(s) are obtained. All candidates must pass criminal and credit background checks.
