Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Full-time position with an established manufacturing company. The position is responsible for processing sales orders received from customers, scheduling freight shipments, and responding to customer inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with customers and distributors by telephone, through email, and in-person.
Speak with a variety of customers by phone to take orders and field questions regarding products, order status, and shipments.
Correspond with customers using email and respond to email inquiries regarding products, order status, shipments, and other questions.
Prepare customer quotes for parts and equipment.
Data entry of sales orders for parts and equipment into ERP system; print order acknowledgements and pick tickets; distribute orders to production, shipping, and purchasing per established protocols.
Preparation of Bills of Lading and other shipping documents, as required, to meet daily shipping deadlines.
Interact with a variety of freight companies and independent freight haulers to source freight transportation options, ensuring best pricing, within prescribed timelines.
Prepare and process documentation for shipped orders on a daily basis; select orders for invoicing within the ERP system; ensure serial numbers, VIN numbers, and relevant data are correctly entered on open sales orders in preparation for invoice generation.
Filing, typing, research and other tasks necessary in support of position responsibilities.
Participate in annual physical inventory process, including assisting with costing and data entry of inventory cards within the ERP system and database programs.
Communicate and work with other departments in a team environment.

Experience/Certification Required:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate, minimum
Minimum 2 + years experience customer service and parts sales within a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP / MRP systems; Exact Macola Progression experience preferred.
Experience with spreadsheet and database data entry and creation.
Strong data entry skills; attention to detail; critical thinking skills; must be organized.
Must be able to complete tasks, meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Working knowledge of shipping using UPS, LTL freight, and arranging FTL freight shipments preferred.
Ability to read simple blueprints and engineering drawings is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Good people skills; willingness to work with a variety of persons.
Motivated, self-starter.
Ability to work with members at all levels of the organization.
